Gradience Pro / Enterprise - Solution To: Unable to Open Forms Manager from Gradience Pro/Enterprise

Issue:

When clicking on the Forms Manager icon in one of the Gradience Pro / Enterprise titles you get the following message:

Cannot open file “C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name.your_domain\My Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms 2013\Accident Illness Report.ofm"

or...

Cannot open file "C:\Users\your_user_name\Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms 2013 - The system cannot find the path specified"

Solution:

Close out of all Gradience programs.

Search for your hrware.ini file located at c:\programdata\gradience.

--NOTE-- the programdata folder may be hidden. 

When the NotePad window opens, find the area that begins with [FORMS].

Look for the line ending in Forms some year. 

Examples:

Forms_Path=C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name.your_domain\My Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms some year.

Or...

Forms_Path=C:\Users\your_user_name\Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms 2013  

Change the year associated with Personnel Forms to the current year. Use four digits.

Example:

Forms_Path=C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name.your_domain\My Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms 2013

Or...

Forms_Path=C:\Users\your_user_name\Documents\Gradience\Personnel Forms 2013

Click File > Save and then, close out of the NotePad window.  You will now be able to access Gradience Forms Manager from other Gradience Programs.
