Gradience Pro / Enterprise - Configure Windows Firewall

--NOTE-- If you're deploying Gradience Pro / Enterprise in a Server/Client environment you will need to configure a port for connectivity purposes in Windows Firewall at the Server or the Workstation hosting the data. You may use the instructions below.

--NOTE-- Our software is no longer supported on Server 2003 or Windows XP. The steps for these operating systems are provided as a courtesy.

Server 2003 or Windows XP

Navigate to your Control Panel and click Windows Firewall

Click the Exceptions tab:

Click Add Port and configure TCP port 3050 using the name Firebird.

Server 2008 or Windows Vista

 Navigate to your Control Panel and click Windows Firewall

Click Allow a program through Windows Firewall

Click Add port and configure TCP port 3050 using the name Firebird.

Server 2012, Windows 7 and Windows 8.x/10

 Navigate to your Control Panel and click Windows Firewall

Click on Advanced Settings

Click and highlight Inbound Rules and select New Rule

  • Rule Applies to Port and the specific TCP port is 3050
  • Click Allow the Connection
  • When does this rule apply? Check Domain and Private 
  • Name: Firebird

--NOTE-- Afterwards do the same for Outbound Rules.
