Gradience Pro / Enterprise - Starting over with a fresh blank database

To start over with a fresh database, you need to rename your existing database and re-install the software to create a new, blank database that you can use going forward.

Rename the Database

  • In Vista, or Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Gradience\Data or C:\Program Files\Gradience\Data if using a 32-bit operating system . Rename HRWARE.GDB file to HRWAREOLD.GDB . You may not see the file extension .GDB because your computer may not be set to display file extensions.
  • In Windows 8, or Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012: Go to C:\Program Files\Gradience\Data. Rename HRWARE.GDB file to HRWAREOLD.GDB . You may not see the file extension .GDB because your computer may not be set to display file extensions.

--NOTE-- The Programdata folder may be hidden. I you are not sure how to unhide this folder, you can find simple steps online.

Download and re-install

Re-install the software. This will create a new, blank database for you to use going forward. If you do not have the installation file:

--NOTE-- If you're using an older version of our software you cannot view your data in the current version until you purchase a current license. We also recommend that upgrade to version 12 as this version contains fixes to most of the issues users have reported when using version 11.
